Arch Theory

Two cities read as pure shape: Amsterdam brick, shutters and white church naves; the Colosseum's arcades against deep blue, the oculus and coffers of the Pantheon, Bernini's colonnade at St Peter's, and the corkscrew lantern of Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza. Cropped tight and pushed graphic, so the architecture reads like a diagram of itself.
