Dark Cluster

Grapes up close, until the fruit turns into pattern: clusters ripening in Saint-Émilion at the end of July, wine grapes above the Columbia River near Quincy, Washington, and Bordeaux vines dusted blue-grey with copper spray. Cropped tight and pushed dark, so berries read like beads and leaves like cut paper.
