Moving Parts

Transport, taken apart into pattern, then turned up loud: the coffered vault of a Washington Metro station, a barge filling a lock on the Mississippi, a cruise ship's bow pointed at open sea, runway lines at SFO, a highway diving into a tunnel. The wilder half goes further: a 747 cockpit glowing amber, a faceted red tower under a stormy sky, lights smeared into a streak at night, a San Francisco streetcar burning gold through the dark. Same machines, different volume.
