Two Places at Once 14 / 15
Autumn in Stone
- The two photographs
- A balanced red boulder in Colorado Springs, Colorado, against a clean blue sky, and a single red autumn leaf, flecked with gold, against a blur of amber foliage.
- Why together
- The rock and the leaf share the same rust orange, one weathered over ages and one turned in a week. Filling the stone with the leaf lets something brief take the shape of something lasting.
