Milk-Glass Country

Mist, dusk and starlight over the Gironde fields: morning fog and haze lifting off the valleys around Pellegrue, a pale lane and a farm handed over by the mist, pink skies above Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens and Saint-Émilion, afterglow, lit windows and the Milky Way above the village. Lifted soft and glowing, like the country seen through milk glass.
