Slipstream

Planes, sails, rails and roads, left mostly to the sky: contrails drawn across Zermatt and suburban St. Louis, a cable car crossing a glacier, a schooner off Annapolis, warbirds turning through haze, a 747 waiting behind rain-streaked glass at O'Hare. Lifted, softened and given room to breathe. A few natural frames at the end keep it honest: snowed-in tracks, a heritage train on the curve, a floatplane lifting off a quiet bay.
