Stone Grammar

The walls, shutters and arches of rural France, read up close: shutters and red doors in Libourne, a mason's mark, a carved name and a window cut through the castle wall at Rauzan, a clipped green block in Massugas, bridge shadows at Castillon, a centre line through Pellegrue, and the arches, stairs, lavoir water and cobbles of Saint-Émilion. Cropped tight so each frame reads like a pattern, though every one is a real photograph.

14 pieces. These are real photographs, not generated images.
